I have recently joined the Down under doll quilt swap 3 and what a lot of fun it has been so far. A doll quilt is such an achievable project and the best fun is all the clandestine investigation and research of your secret swap partner.
Progress pictures are posted so you look at them and try to guess which one might be for you. I can't imagine how excited I'll be when I actually receive my quilt.
I have also made a pin cushion for my lovely country friend Judith who's birthday it is this week. Louise has designed these quirky little (or not so little) pin cushions and everyone has gone completely mad over them and not without reason. They are so cute.

My beautiful chevron blanket
Here are a couple of photos of the beautiful blanket Louise made for me. I just love it! I love the colours. She crocheted until her arm nearly fell off and I am so grateful!
Louise's birthday cushion
Well Louise finally got her cushion that I was making her for her birthday! Here are the photos of it.

My first blog
Hello blogland!
It's taken a long time but I have finally got my blog up and running....well sort of. I'm still not completely sure what I'm doing but I thought I'd start blogging anyway.
With my son Lloyd in Europe at the moment and my middle child having just moved out I have had a bit more time than usual so I have been finishing some projects that needed to be finished. The first project is a gift for my lovely friend Louise whose birthday was in May!!! As I haven"t had a chance to give it to her yet I"ll give you a sneak peek.
The second project I have been working on is a quilt for my bed. I"d come to a bit of a road block but a recent visit to Ametie inspired me and I sewed a border around it which I"m pleased with. Now I"m working on the back.
So now I"m going to try a work out how to put up the photos! Yeah!! It worked! So this is the front of a long cushion. I appliqued her year of birth on the front.
and this is the back.
